Shaping Up

With the risk of involuntary gas leakages, outfit malfunctions, or running into somebody best not met while all red-faced and perspirationally challenged, the gym may be the most dangerous of public minefields.

Add to that the general embarrassment of seemingly being the only one in real need of a workout and it's a surprise we go at all

If you, like us, are in need of some secret training, before you unleash yourself on the public gym, then the recently opened Rebody -  which offers  personal trainers in the privacy of one of its seven rooms - may fill the need.

At a euro per minute it's not cheap, but without contracts or minimum commitments it's a real alternative to the trainers offered by household gym names.

The trainers also offer nutritional advice and can be shared with a friend at a slightly higher rate. Operación Bikini can now get on its way without the shame of falling off the Swiss Ball in public.

  • Do Me a Favour?

I tell ya, economic activity seems to have been reduced to bartering, with nobody paying with actual money. Greater self-sufficiency beckons.

  • Talent Development

The problem with talent, just like ugly newborns, is that so few people are willing to tell you the truth about them. If you're in advertising you'll at least have a relatively inexpensive option of finding out.

  • Summer Time

The start of the summer season is as official as it gets. That also means that it's now time to make some tough decisions.

  • A Very Special Day

It's easy to be cynical about Sant Jordi but I actually quite like the day. Just walk straight past the street vendors, and past good old Flores Navarro, too.

  • Body Beautiful

So, Dove is once again looking for chubby chicks for a commercial. Oh sorry. Zaftig? Generously proportioned? Ugh, no, REAL women. Which explains the re-occurrence of ads with models who don't seem to say no to seconds.
