UJ Noches de Terraza: July 29

Every Tuesday during the month of July from 19-22h, we're presenting aperitif sessions at VISIT UP (the terrace of Hotel Pulitzer) with arts, fashion, music, and live performances. Come join us for a free drink (see below to request an invitation).

Next tuesday we proudly present BLUES OPERA. David Reed started his music career at 10 years old when he used to play at his father's house, a jazz trumpet player. Since then he's played with jazz bands in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Buenos Aires and Salvador de Bahia. His music is a mixture of original compositions and free improv based on a set of influences including jazz, tango and african music. Tonight he will be showing his new project, Blues Opera, with New York singer Trevor Ryan. An intense and intimate acoustic gig.

Powerful imagery in HD: risk, vertigo, bloody noses, fully-branded choppers and snow, snow and more snow. It's a curious thing, sharing the snowboarding adventure with these kids on and off the big screen.

  • Make-over

Trying out a "new" bar in Barcelona is rather like going on a date with Ana Obregón: you can be sure that you'll have seen the place before and that it'll since have had a nip and tuck or two. You just won't know whether the change has been for the better or worse.

  • Photos: Globo

Fucked From Above 1985 - Milan-based Venetian Giulia Centofante - not only designed The Bloody Beetroots' t-shirts and those of her own label, Cut (apart from being über-hot).

  • Somoslas Photos

Did you use any fake blood this Halloween? If you did, like me and most people at the last SomosLas, you probably woke up to a red mouth/nose/arm that, no matter how much you washed, stayed that nice shade of allergy-red for a few days.

  • Club Cobra Launch

The hip young things (us included, of course) gathered at Apolo on Thursday night to attend the launch of Club Cobra, the newest party to settle home at La [2].
