Short Shorts

This has undoubtably been the year of the short shorts. For better or worse, we’ve seen more thigh this summer, male and female alike, than we may have cared for. Summer may be waning, but we invite you to one more outing of the short shorts. In Terrassa.
No, we haven’t gone mad. Terrassa - famed for such notable things like having the world’s highest chimney with an external spiral staircase, strange signs and vying with Santako for bakala chav capital honours - is also home to the Festival Baumann of shorts.
For an eighth season, Baumann is bringing us the best of young Spanish filmmakers. And if you’ve sat through the cringe-worthy creative efforts of one too many aspiring Fellini, then take relief in the maximum length of 30 minutes, with some flicks as short as one minute (your daisy dukes of the cineshort!).
In addition to the mandatory screenings, there are also soundtrack competitions, “visualjam” sessions and a handful of parties. And, this being Terrassa, there’s always that '90s time capsule, Pont Aeri. Guys are recommended to leave their shorts knee-length for this latter option.
Festival Baumann – September 16-27
40 mins by FGC to Terrassa, every 12 mins.
Nit Bus N60 every :21 on the hour, 40 mins
