Amparo, paranoia, tequila, sex... and goodbye

In these times, when we're lacking true icons and leaders, it's sad when your favourite band also ends up going down the drain.

Funny, cheeky, a colossal joker, Amparo Sánchez has been, along with Manu Chao, the queen of that kind of euro-mix that stirs rumba, rock, reggae, balkan punk beat, guaguancó...  Where are we gonna find her subversive experiments now that she's given us her last concert at the Espacio Movistar?

A clue can be found in Tijuana, that faraway land.  We'll probably see her moving like a gypsy serpent, patchwork dress, crown and guitar celebrating tequila, sexo y marihuana.
