Hairy Stuff

Ah, the joys of getting older. You discover that acne isn’t just for teens but perfectly compatible with wrinkles, too. And that a follicle-challenged top won’t stop hair from sprouting on your back, ears and nose.
But being thin on top perhaps isn’t a bad thing in times where women are finding that it may be fun to be blond but cheaper to have the roots show. Actually, you might think that you’d have to be a bit blond to open a new salon right now.
Of Thomas and Mourad, only the former is blond, yet the duo has just opened a second branch of Le Salon in the back of Marella. Now, in-shop salons is nothing new – El Corte Inglés has had them for years (the men’s next to the cruising loos, bringing new meanings to a ‘cut & blow’) – but this chop-shop still warrants a visit.
Most will go for the AVEDA products and the skillful hands of the staff, but I’ll be going to take in the gem of an outdoor patio separating salon from shop. Priceless. Now, bring on the Rogaine.
Le Salon @ Marella - now open
Passeig de Gracia 63 - 93 487 3983
Women's cut from EUR 45, men's from EUR 30
