Personality Type

Quick now: the name of a famous artist? Piece of cake, right. A famous designer? No problem. And a famous graphic designer? Ah, um.

Maybe it's the combination of an unhealthy obsession with typefaces and the fact that - by design - their best work goes unnoticed, but graphic designers rarely become household names. Yet, like unsung heroes of everyday life, they're the ones making our texts legible, symbols meaningful, and packaging clear and attractive.

So who are these people? Who spends an afternoon discussing the virtues of serif over sans serif, worries about what Pantone colour is true red, and prefers studying the font used rather than the dishes on the menu?

Find out tonight when Grrr, the collective of self-proclaimed graphic design fanatics, present their latest publication. And this being the first in over three years, it should be worth a look. Because for this group, although unlikely to make it into Vogue, appearances really are everything.

Grrrr: presentation of issues 15 & 16 - 22h Thursday November 6
