Beer, Salt, Pepper and T-shirts

For years, if asked to conceptualise the overlap of textiles and cooking, I'd be think beyond my grannie's aprons, or perhaps the napkins that my mother placed awkwardly at the table. How things change.

A number of collaborations from the one between Ferrán Adriá and Armand Basi's Juste de Nin, to the perfume from Burger King, have joined the sphere of food (that's going to our interiors) with that of textiles (that covers our exteriors). As is the case with good fruit, inside and outside, all is eaten.

The most recent collaborative project, More than a T-Shirt, bring together Moritz, the beermakers, with designers Chu Uroz, Montse Guillén and Antoni Miralda, as well as the filmmaker Bigas Luna, each creating a pack containing a T, a decorated beer can and an explanatory pamphlet.

There are seemingly no limits to the ingenuity of brand building and profiling. But if it all gets a bit too much, then in this case, at least you'll always have a decent brew at hand.
