Not the train station

Sporting a great poster, which plays with one of the most sacro-sanct characters in history (the one and only Karl Marx), Barnasants Festival becomes one of the most affordable options for any music-greedy pocket.
This year's line-up is good enough, keeping Catalan-sung music as a strong component. The greek Savina Yannatou's amazing ability to sing in a thousand voices; Colombian Marta Gómez's versatility and particular take on various Caribbean influences; master poet Aute. And not to be left behind, none other than Pedro Guerra, a very mediterranean Paco Cifuentes, Moncho's catchy songs and the mythical panflute sound of chileans Quilapayún. Something for everyone.
Taking place in various locations around the city, with sensible prices and the novelty of its own record label to boot, Barnasants will keep our diaries busy til March. Despite still sounding like a train station.
Barnasants , until March 22
