93 to 91

From the press material handed out, it was tempting to think that a move from Barcelona to Madrid would be announced. I mean, you wouldn't normally call a press conference for temporarily moving in next door, would you?
Then again, there's nothing normal about Santa Eulalia. Who else would call in one of Barcelona's top interior design studios to put up a store that will only be around for 18 months?
I wouldn't know, and I bet that Tarruella & López isn't used to playing only a supporting role – the "real" store will be redesigned by William Sofield, the architect better known for designing the Gucci, YSL and Tom Ford stores around the world – but this one was mastered beautifully.
I could harp on about the result – an impressive, eco-friendly design with all materials recyclable or made from re-purposed materials – but I recommend dropping by the store yourself. As if you needed another excuse to go say hello to Marc Jacobs, Lanvin and their friends.
