• Over The Moon

  No longer distracted by the sticky, sweet-talking Queen of Pop, let's turn our attention back to the King, and pay homage one last time. Mindless and too late? Hey, the dude's without a brain and remains unburied, so that would almost be appropriate.

• Loud and Proud

  It was never going to please everybody -  “too activist”, “too commercial”, “too frivolous”, it was mumbled - but, in our humble opinion, the inaugural Pride Barcelona did well, even without the crisis-stricken Matinée Group.

• Recreative

  Lots of impressive creative talent, some in finding constructive feedback to, ehem, less impressive work, but mostly on show in the portfolio of young hopefuls.

• Shutter Bugged

  The masterminds behind PHotoEspaña and the annual cult mag Matador, marked their 15th anniversary by opening a Barcelona branch, complete with gallery, bookshop, café and an event space.

• Precocious

  Part of me wants to admire these gifted youngsters, but mostly I'm enraged with jealousy that these kids - some young enough to proffer me their seat on the metro - have more talent than I'll ever have.
