They’re busy, the good folks at Axel. Pink parties, drag queen nights, pool parties, premiere parties, there’s usually something going on. The bar space in the basement hasn’t quite fulfilled its potential, although the venue is agreeable enough.

It’s on Wednesday nights in the summer, however, that Axel’s Sky Bar on the roof rules with a handsome, if not pretty, crowd sipping cosmos and cocktails in true Miami style. The Sunday afternoon pool party at the same venue is also gathering a loyal following.
