|  | Salvation was a classic, one of the few places where Muscle Marys and twinks would happily mingle. In the dance floor to the right, the preppy, barely legal youngsters writhing their lithe bodies to pop tunes. To the left , the shirtless gym bunnies. All of that changed however, when Matinee Group revealed its ”New Gay Concept” earlier this year. In reality, seeing as we’re not in 1998 when projections and faux-metal coverings were considered innovative, “different” is probably more accurate than “new”. The right dance floor is now deemed the chill zone and, in another attempt towards upscale, the bartenders have been instructed to keep their shirts on. As pretty as manufactured can be, the place remains busy and will wow first timers – but we quite liked the pop tunes, too. Girls used to pay more than boys to get in, and now they just aren’t allowed in. We’ll see about that… |  | More nightlife |
