To say this club is the favoured hang-out of fashionistas is a half-truth; after all, it was conceived by the same people who gave us La Terrrazza. But, it does undeniably unite Barcelonians hungry to dance, drink and party into one beautiful mix. Without shattering the illusion, we’ll admit that the low, red lighting and aggressive sound system blowing bass lines add a little something the vibe.
If it all gets too loud, crowded, or just a bit too much in general, make your way to the stairs and head up to the top floor where you’ll find the Red Room – things are a bit more downbeat and adult here.
It was to be expected. After years of gay boys spilling out of Gayxample to stake out new territory in Heteroland, the tide is turning: Gayxample is going straight.
Pánico en el Paralelo! ¡Uuhhh!, ¡que miedo! Volvió A Los Huevos Tuyos returned with some who could sing, some who couldn't but who could put on a show, and then some who should just have stayed at home. But, as always, a fabulous time.
