Nuno Mendes' diffusion-line bistrot, hidden upstairs at the back of the vast Town Hall Hotel, serves brunch/lunch from 12 noon. You can do two or three courses: Hansen & Lydersen smoked salmon is a must (kiln-smoked by Norwegians in Stoke Newington), then there's Iberico pork and bread pudding, and/or blueberries with goat's cheese caramel, brioche and shiso.

Top Tip:

There are no bookings, but if you head there at the weekend, you can wait in the bar with a mimosa and some olives.
