My Brunch / Nick Ambridge

Senior Brand Manager at Belvedere Vodka

Where do you like to brunch in London?
If I have the energy (and a reservation) it’s the Riding House Café. For a local brunch you can’t get a bigger variety of places than at Brixton Village. Every other week new places open and current favourites are The Bread Room and Brick Box.

Where’s your favourite international brunch spot?
Extra Virgin in New York’s West Village. The whole experience made me have an ‘I’m moving to New York’ moment that still lingers a few years on.

DIY or eat out?
Eat out. Otherwise it just feels like breakfast.

Who do you like to brunch with?
Normally it’s just a few close friends, following a big night. Although with Love Brunch it goes up to hundreds!

What’s your favourite brunch menu item?
Close call between a ham and cheese omelette and French toast.

Sweet or savoury?
Savoury.

What’s your brunch soundtrack?
I love being outside – so just the usual hustle and bustle of London.

Casual or posh brunch?
Casual – otherwise it’s just a bit too much effort.

Scrambled, poached, sunny side up or friend?
Scrambled.

How do you like your Belvedere Bloody Mary?
Unfortunately I’m not the biggest tomato juice fan so anything that’s a twist on the Bloody Mary works well – my current favourite is the Cucumber Fix – Belvedere Bloody Mary, cucumber juice, elderflower and lemon. Seriously refreshing – try it!
