Photo by ENTER @ Food Studio When we were in Ibiza over the bank holiday, there was a quiet murmur about a new restaurant being run out of someone’s flat in the old town. We’ve been to ‘pop up/supperclub’ restaurants in flats before. Cringe. Needless to say, we didn’t really want to go here. Our friend Fiona, however, heard they had a rose quartz bar and she was sold, so she gave her team back in LDN the task of calling until they caved in and gave us one of the two tables in their loft. And the rest is history – a night spent here was the stuff of dinner party dreams. The menu was four courses – not too much, not too little – the chef is ex Noma (and also a masseuse), the hostess was welcoming and had great glasses, the table beside us had Richie Hawtin and the ENTER team (thanks for the sake, Richie!), and the vibe was ‘we’re here for the night’. And it was 50 euros. This was the best of times! Try your luck at getting a table, but first, get your Instagram up to scratch- they don’t want just anyone in their home! Joking not joking…. Close to Aguas but with far fewer people, this beach is a perfect cove. When we were there, the waves were big enough to body surf, and the yellow chiringuito was the perfect place to while the day away. But shhhhhhhhh! And to sign off, we leave you with two things. 1) We know from personal experience that DC10 on New Year’s Day is the best; keep it in mind when you’re thinking about what to do! It was hot last year (t-shirt/beach/rosé lunch weather) too. 2) And lastly, it’s not new, but it certainly is great, and keeps us house music-educated the whole year through – that would be Pete Tong’s BBC1 Friday night show.
