Keep It Lean
Watching it

It's no secret that restaurants have little concern for dietary correctness, save for when it comes to taste, so we've scouted out those London menus that'll save you from drowning in your waistlines.

Because if you're anything like us, it would be nice to get into our jeans again sometime soon!

By now you know of Leon, but hot on its heels is Fresh Italy, the only fast food outlet to operate the 'traffic light' advisory system to warn you of culinary green and red lights, so to speak (how very Bono).

For more leisured affairs there's L'Etranger's Virtually Fat Free menu (which safe to say is different than Maccy D's). Great food, great setting, great service and oh so romantic, too. Even alcohol gets the green light at Shochu, with their cucumber shochu tonic - a low fat, low calorie antioxidant cocktail that's high in vitamin C.

For a cerebral healthy affair there's Vitaorganic - looks like a bit of a hippie haunt (bark stools, etc), but the menu - which breaks down every part of your meal, so you can eat according to what you're lacking - is an interesting read, if nothing else.

And come February, Zilli Brewer Street will be unveiling their Zilli Fit Special Menu, packed with healthy, protein-rich dishes high in omega-3 fish oils. Because we're guessing that, once a certain flu epidemic spreads west, we'll all be turning piscatorial.
