Freeze It
Then melt it

Don't you just love it when London gets all arty? At the moment you can't move for events, exhibitions and pontificating critics: Frieze, Zoo and Scope are mid-flow, the Turner nominations have got us talking and our favourite weekend outing is the curly Tate Modern slide (such fun).

But that's not enough, oh no. The newest addition to this art-orgy is Freeze, 'a settling of elements on one another', and it opens tomorrow at the B-Store. This Freeze with two e's is an interactive installation by Collaborator's Guide (a collective of artists, designers and illustrators) who have taken the frozen theme and run with it.

Take objects, trinkets and possessions you don't mind parting with (from coat tickets to trainers), down to B-Store over the next two weeks and they will be positioned in large freezers in the windows, forming an art display for passers by to admire. Collaborator's Guide say that the pieces will encourage time to reflect on the beauty that mundane objects attain once frozen.

Over time, the ice will then melt, revealing a different art installation all together.

And to entice you down, the first fifty people to visit will be given a special frozen-drawstring-bag to carry away as a souvenir.

Now if that's not what I call free art.

Collaborator's Guide - Freeze opening 6pm Oct 14
b Store, 24a Savile Row, W1.
