Dave Anderson
The good Mister Anderson's art lies deliciously between maths-book doodles, evil Hallmark cards and left-wing newspaper cartoons. His humour is dry and acerbic, his wit sardonic and ironic. Imagine a young, OCD, British, po-mo Larson, his gaze penetrative and revealing, his tongue scathing and sharp, like a Radio 4 comedy presenter contemplating his suicide note. "I read that Australia had the highest concentration of animals that were purposefully out to kill you. I opened my fridge and found a koala injecting my butter with ricin."

Matthew Stone/Futurehindsight
It might seem like a bit of an easy option for Matthew Stone to take snaps of the wunderkind, Hoxtonia nu-ravers. After all, as, in the words of The Times, the "unofficial leader" of the whole Wowow collective, it's pretty much on his doorstep. Stone, however, is a damn fine artist and his photographs are intriguingly powerful, betraying a hidden darkness and complexity to these beloved neonophiles as they lurk and stumble, lost in a dark world closed around them.

Time:
Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 12-5pm. Until June 30
Place:
Union Gallery, 57 Ewer Street, SE1.
