This is so difficult to write about and review that the only thing to do is plunge straight in - when it worked it was strong and stylish BUT in an overcrowded market place a new designer needs to have something special to say to stand out or a signature which buyers and press can identify. For all the skill in draping and cutting the collection failed to convince as a fashion forward statement, as well as being a touch over worked in that every garment had a detail.

The frilled blouses in neon fuchsia, electric turquoise, or emerald green only needed a simple accompaniment. A brilliantly draped and slotted detail on a bodice or a great jacket confused the viewer by being teamed with another complex garment. It was as though the designer felt we might get bored or fail to understand his skills if he didn't keep showing us something different every second.

The Red Carpet dresses at the end were lovely but continued the theme of an avalanche of ideas by all being a different silhouette - variety is one thing being unable to make up your mind is a very different thing.

Give creative talent room to breath and pace the collection to make a clear statement. Maybe the more basic or classic pieces are in the showroom and were deemed to boring for the catwalk, whatever decisions were made the strong and successful pieces in the collection were overwhelmed by there being just too muchand the undoubted talent of Afshin Feiz being obscured.
