Staying firmly away from high street clone clobber is a boutique for the new 'Tramps & Thieves'. Located on Hanbury Street, just off Brick Lane, the store stocks distinctive designs by fashion grads and up & coming labels for men and women. Talk about a win win situation - designers get to promote their work in a retail environment while Joe Public gets the chance to pick up something completely original. Tramps & Thieves are not alone in their concept. Beyond the Valley on Newburgh Street offers a similar kind of deal incorporating art, illustration, furniture and books as well as fashion into their eclectic store. (Beyond the Valley online shop is due to go live later this month.) |
