Welcome to the UJ LFW Round-Up
London was one helluva sexy place to be during LFW. Glamorous, intelligent, grown-up clothes with the emphasis on print, embellishment and looking HOT ruled the catwalks. Megastars, Beyoncé and Kanye West were in town, along with the Italian fashion god of sex, Roberto Cavalli, who threw a party on Saturday night, which took days to recover from. Thank heavens for Glacéau Vitamin Water, a crucial fashion accessory that found its way into goodie bags of hundreds of shows, triggering 400,000 tweets (and plenty of twagerism). Oh and Christopher Kane came up with the shoe of next summer. It’s fashion marmite. You’ll either love it or hate it. Below are some of our LFW highlights. Enjoy!

EVERYONE WAS TALKING ABOUT
TWAGERISM:
the act of cut and pasting a tweet without crediting the source. Certain front rowers ("frowers") were serial offenders. Such bad manners!
CORINTHIA HOTEL:
besides being the coolest catwalk venue (and built off the proceeds of Libyan oil) this became the latest place to provide Planet Fashion with its fix of hot chocolate.
PRINT:
Not just the usual (Erdem, Peter Pilotto etc) but also Burberry, Christopher Kane, Topshop Unique and Felder Felder, from Keith Haring to digi florals.

HERE COME THE BOYS |
Wednesday meant it was all about the boys at Somerset House. With DJs – notably the Hit + Run Crew – spinning tunes and the sun beating down, the atmosphere was FUN! FUN! FUN! Highlights included the Aquascutum Lounge with crisp suits and shiny shoes, the ‘still life’/statuesque models at Serdar Uzuntas, the inflatable neon squirrels at Christopher Raeburn, as well as the neat Blog Bar and Matteo Molinari tortoise shell sunnies.

Now with LFW over, Audiosushi’s Jeffrey Disastronaut looks ahead to tracks for MFW and PFW catwalks. With tunes ranging from a Postal Service remix of Nina Simone’s Little Girl Blue to SebastiAn’s C.T.F.O and ending with Jeffrey’s own Fukushima Mon Amour pt. 4, this is a varied mix with sultry attitude. J has also included Pocket Piano by the recently passed away DJ Mehdi. For something upbeat, if you missed Audiosushi’s LFW mix check it out.

SUPREME SOHO LAUNCH |
With a rammed shop launch, and even busier after party (red stripe, hip hop, mesh caps and MCs; we like), every skater in London was out in force on Wednesday eve to celebrate the launch of the first Supreme store in Europe. Hailing from NYC’s 90s skate-hip hop scene, the new Soho location will be stocking the entire collection, including skateboards, footwear and special releases. First purchase? Definitely a Santa Fe Beanie in mint green. Although secretly we want a skateboard.
Supreme, 2/3 Peter Street, Soho, W1F 0AA
11 - 7:30 Monday - Saturday
12 - 6 Sunday
