This weekend is the fun antidote to your back-2-school blues. Start the weekend with a little music, a little pizza and a lot of cocktails, follow on Saturday with some wacky art and an all night smasher, and end with some skateboard shopping and a rooftop breakfast club (literally, not the film) on Sunday. All that and our Vogue Fashion's Night Out pick tonight, Autumn appropriate jackets (LFW-friendly) and a futuristic take on the drive thru, roller girls and all.

Sasha, Visionquest, secretsundaze, Julio Bashmore and James Priestly are just a few names on the bill, held at a real wildlife park in Port Lymph. And for those that don't know – costumes are essential.

MUSIC:
Sanderson Sessions with Citizens!
  DRINK:
B-SOHO

The Sanderson Sessions are back after their Olympic hiatus. Hosting monthly music nights in their courtyard, this weekend sees London rock band Citizens! take to the stage. The boys (who met at a party) have since been signed to French label Kitsuné, their quippy, acerbic and fun sounds receiving critical acclaim. Grab a cocktail from the Long Bar and enjoy their new single 'True Romance' (but watch the hilarious video here first).   Hotdogs and champagne, burgers and spiked-slushies… and now pizza and cocktails on Poland Street. Downstairs, pizzas (by Neapolitan chef Raffaele Medaglia) will be cooked for just 90 seconds at 900 degrees, while upstairs' 30-strong cocktail list includes the grappa-based Neapolitan. Watch out for their live music and karaoke nights. It's all about the Napolitanos.

ART:
Exotic Juicy Tutti Frutti at Other Criteria
  PARTY:
Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson & Minilogue & Soundstream at Fabric

Head to Other Criteria's Photography Room to see a dose of Exotic Juicy Tutti Fruity. Each photograph (of strange, indecipherable, colourful objects) takes its name from car air fresheners. Visual artist Antonio Marguet is fascinated with what he sees as excess subjectivity and self-absorption in the age of social media. His aim in these photos is to create a fetish around an object without it actually existing, which is, he claims, similar to how we build our fictional-selves online. Obviously.   Prepare yourselves for a 10am finish this weekend. Ibiza heavyweight Ricardo Villalobos will be bringing his minimal house sounds to the Clerkenwell institution, alongside residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis. They'll be joined by a host of party people: one of Vancouver's finest Mathew Jonson, our very own Will Saul and George Fitzgerald, and a live set by Soundstream.

TRAVEL

Outlook Festival, Pula Croatia 2012

Reporting From the Frontline, Outlook Festival, Pula Croatia 2012

It's been slim on the ground for festivals this summer at UJ HQ. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was a bit of festival fatigue, but when the invite came in for Outlook in Pula, Croatia, it was a no brainer. We were in. We've heard a lot about this one – sunshine, boat parties, fortress raving, dungeons and moats – and even though we didn't get the sunshine (all we heard all weekend was 'this is the first time it's rained in three months, actually a year'; great) we didn't let it dampen our spirits. We'll definitely be back, next time for a longer stay. Viva!
