EASTER BUMPER SPECIAL

It's finallyyyyyyyy here! To celebrate the double-header long weekend, we've put together a massive Easter bumper special for you. From feasting (Italian, French, English: take your pick) to shopping (records and threads), and of course drinking (in a pop up sakura bar, no less), it's all here. And then there are the parties: what's a double bank holiday without some blow-outs? We've even thrown some art and chocolate into the mix for the cultural and sweet-toothed types among you. TONIGHT

PARTY: SANKEYS EASTER SPECIAL AT STUDIO 338

Start the Easter weekend with a blow out session via Sankeys. The Manchester club (with outposts in Ibiza and New York) will be bringing its electronic, house and techno beats  to London via newly opened super club (the biggest in London) Studio 338. Expect three electro shaking rooms, a 3000-strong capacity and an all-night open-air terrace (holding up to 1500, so yeah it's a big one). Tonight expect big bill techno mavens Stacey Pullen and The Element amongst the usual Sankeys faves of Shlomi Aber, Jozef K and Just Be (to name a few). Third release tickets are selling fast, so be quick.

Studio 338, 338 Boord Street, SE10 0PF, £17.50

SHOP:
GLASSWORKS SHOREDITCH
  EAT:
LARDO EASTER MENU

Glassworks is the latest boutique to hit the Shoreditch triangle (and hurray, it's not in Boxpark). Expect the same curated selection as its Covent Garden branch: labels such as Helmut Lang, Sass and Bide and Senso shoes, sitting alongside a myriad of own brand, sunglasses, jewelry, bags, sunglasses and clothing. Here you'll be able find design–led fashion without the price tag, basically filling the gap without being the Gap, and so far, mission accomplished.   Kick off your Easter dining at London Fields restaurant, Lardo where they'll be serving up a special menu in honour of Good Friday. Stick to the theme with fish (salmon, sea trout or sea bass baked in salt), accompanied by Artichokes alla Guida and Torta Pasquale. Otherwise, their cult pizzas (our pick is the lardo with spinach and egg) are also worth a try, washed down with an aperitivo like the signature Stella Spritz (prosecco and grapefruit liqueur). Plus, with Cream Egg Ice Cream on the menu this Saturday and Sunday, a return visit might be on the cards.

SHOP:
BERWICK STREET RECORD STORE DAY
  BRUNCH:
BLACKFOOT

'The Golden Mile of Vinyl' (aka Berwick Street) is putting on its annual street party this weekend. Expect the usual Record Store Day shenanigans, with live performances from Adam Ant, Edwyn Collins and The Augustines, and vinyl shrines Sister Ray, Reckless Records and Phonica getting in on the action with in-store specials. Limited edition vinyls (including a 7" David Bowie Rock & Roll Suicide and a 10" glow in the dark record of the Ghostbusters theme) will be up for grabs, and when hunger hits, Berwick Street Market regulars Pizza Pilgrims and Jerusalem Artichoke will be on hand with street food.   Now for some brunch…with a twist. Exmouth Market's pork-obsessed restaurant Blackfoot has launched a weekend brunch menu, and as you'd expect it goes way beyond a full English. Instead, choose from coddled eggs and sobrasada soldiers, baked clams with shallot and bacon gratin, or avocado on corncake with pico di gallo and a shot of sangria. For those that subscribe to the hair of the dog theory, there are also boozy drinks on offer: think Bloody Marys, Red Snappers and Salty Dogs. Not your style? There's coffee courtesy of Monmouth, too.

EAT:
BISTROTHEQUE FASHION EASTER
  PARTY:
Used + Abused with Loco Dice at Brixton Academy

Opt for a feast in the east at Bethnal Green favourite Bistrotheque. The restaurant is hosting Fashion Easter with Bistrotheque regular Jonny Woo: think eggs, bunnies, drag, fizzy wine, more fizzy wine…you get the picture. There will be a family-style menu, featuring mini scotch eggs, welsh rabbit, roast spring lamb and more, accompanied by rose and violette spritzes and lashings of bubbly. Lunch will be served on communal refectory-style tables, so get chatting to your fellow diners or gather the troops and turn it into a party (up to 22 people are welcome). Book now.   Following on from its Ushuaïa season last summer, Loco Dice's Used + Abused party is set to shake London for the first time at London's O2 Academy Brixton. The environment may be slightly different to his White Isle 2pm pool side slot but expect the Used + Abused crew and Paul Ritch, Guti and Chris Liebing (plus special guests) to host what is fast becoming known as one of the key parties in the house music calendar. And if you miss it, come June, it's back to the Balearics.

SEE:
THIERRY NOIR: A RETROSPECTIVE
  DRINK:
SAKURA POP UP AT SAKE NO HANA

A graffiti exhibition in Shoreditch, clichéd yes, but bear with us. Thierry Noir (the first artist to have painted on the Berlin Wall) is the don of doodles. Having been credited with the destruction of the wall and part of a generation of street artists from Keith Haring to Steve Powers, Thierry Noir is one of the most influential artists of the 21st century. Now, on the 25th anniversary of the fall of the wall, Noir's first solo exhibition displays the archival photographs of his defiant scribbles that symbolise the Cold War, and spurred the street art movement (although we can still blame Banksy for the Saturday walking tours).   Take a trip to Japan via Sake no Hana. The St James Street restaurant has transformed its bar into a floral oasis, covering the drinking den with floor to ceiling cherry blossoms to celebrate of the arrival of spring. Try a limited edition cocktail like a Hanami Bellini (sparkling sake, cherry liqueur, lime and gin) or a Sakuratini (maraschino cherry liqueur, sake, vodka, cointreau, cranberry juice, lime and orange bitters). Feeling hungry? Snack on cherry blossom macaroons or go all out with a double-layer bento box (seven spice chicken kuwayaki, salmon avocado sushi and more).
