Celebrity chefs, pop-ups, street feasts – we’ve had our fill. Now, London’s dining revolution has upped its ante with restaurants following the same recipe as ‘clubs’. From memberships and DJ nights to after-hours and food crawls – restaurants are feeding our party plans.

First, we have a new member’s club - and this time it’s a restaurant: Ramusake. Banish thoughts of old-school Mosimann-style dining clubs though; here DJ actually means disc jockey, not dinner jacket. This is all about top notch dining, with a fun, sophisticated club-like atmosphere. And it comes with good creds. Owned by nightlife supreme Piers Adam (Whisky Mist, Mahiki) with chef Scott Hallsworth of acclaimed Kurobuta in charge, expect a late night izakaya with Japanese bites (beef fillet tataki, sea bass with shiso ponzu…), rum and sake cocktails, a rotation of DJs, and last call for dining at 2am during the week, 3am on the weekends.

Elsewhere, in Shoreditch, Merchants Tavern is putting its bar area to good use: Spiritland’s three month residency is adding entertainment to the menu. The collaboration marries vintage wines and vintage tunes as special guest DJs (Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip…) take us through their vinyl collections. Come for a gourmet toasty and negroni, stay for the music. Next Monday’s Lou Reed night is a date for the diary.

Next up, Hackney fave Rita’s is keeping the buzz going with the opening of Night Elm, an after-hours in the basement, where the food still takes centre stage. Expect Rita-esque bites (creative barbecue pork puffs, spicy sesame cucumber, and hot bean devilled eggs) along with dive-bar style cocktails and niche soundtracks.

And lastly, should you want a bit of a crawl, get tickets now to London Restaurant Festival’s Japanese Journey for an Asian food odyssey with whiskey pairings. Six restaurants in six hours - bring six friends and it’s a party.
