FRIDAY

SEE:
NICK KNIGHT AND ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AT SHOWSTUDIO
  EAT:
BEL-AIR

Coinciding with Savage Beauty at the V&A, SHOWstudio presents Nick Knight’s print re-imaginings of McQueen's collections. Although the duo collaborated for years, producing editorials for magazines such as Dazed & Confused and Visionaire 20, this is the first time all the images will be shown together. One for photographers and fashion folk alike.   For those working in EC2 (bankers, lawyers, creatives…), have breakfast or lunch at this new LA-inspired health café. From the open breakfast sandwiches and shots to the hot dishes such as crab cakes packed with fresh ginger, chilli and coriander and roasted ancho chilli braised beef, it all looks good.

SATURDAY

DRINK:
BLIXEN
  PARTY:
STEVE LAWLER AT STUDIO 338

If you haven't been to Blixen, east London’s European brasserie, there's now another reason check it out. Their sultry cocktail bar has finally opened – think dark wood, dimmed lighting and small marble tables. Try the Hedgeland, a gin-spiked spiced apple cordial, or go hard with the tequila and absinthe-based Mariachi Manhattan.   As an Ibiza mainstay, Steve Lawler knows a thing or two about acid house dynamics. And this party at Studio 338 will be the closest thing you get to Ibiza without being there. The line up also includes techno maverick Mathew Jonson and underground house DJs Livio & Roby. Tickets are already on fourth release, so get in quick.

SUNDAY

DRINK:
VINOTECA KING’S CROSS
  SHOP:
BALMAIN

Mix up your usual Sunday breakfast at Vinoteca King’s Cross. Their USP? Breakfast wines. We suggest ordering the coddled eggs with marmite soldiers with half a bottle of Champagne NV. Not sure what wine goes with your buttermilk pancakes? The staff will help you match your breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, porridge… bubbles. Lovely.   Joining the other new arrivals (Christopher Kane, Roksanda and Céline) on Mount Street, Balmain has set up its first London flagship. The store is as expected: slick, with marble tables, muted grey tones and stainless steel offsetting the ultra-glam wares. Our eyes are already on this.
