We know, we know, the culinary scene in London has boomed: street food, pop ups, chef residencies and Michelin stars. But save for the usual suspects (Deliveroo, Hungryhouse…), there hasn’t actually been much news on the delivery front. Until now. From fresh breakfasts in bed (finally!) to Michelin food delivery services and even 24-hour cocktail ‘taxis’ – we’re going out, but staying in.

We start with the most important meal of the day – breakfast. And thanks to newbie AM service breakfast in bed – lazy lie-ins just got better. Think 25 minutes delivery guaranteed, an exhaustive list ranging from fruits, grains, yogurts, fresh breakfast boxes and pancakes to guilty pleasures of bacon butties and pancetta bagels – with, of course, the essential weekend papers. And. Relax.

Next, dinner. Forget soggy pizzas and average Indian takeaways. Instead think Mayfair and Michelin restaurants – on your sofa – via Supper. Delivered in state-of-the-art scooters with all the trimmings – thermal lining for constant hot or cold temperature – expect kitchen fresh quality. Want wine? A curated wine list with a sommelier on hand to match your grape to your meal is part and parcel of the service.

Finally, after dinner comes the party! Welcome the newly launched Spartans Cocktail Taxi, the first cocktail delivery service in London. The VW camper van dressed as a mobile bar comes to your doorstep with a bartender on board to mix ‘n’ shake. The best bit? It’s available 24 hours.

Home sweet home, indeed!
