If, like us, you’re fans of sharing plates amongst friends, head to new Stokey restaurant Haunt London. Not only is sharing encouraged but the option of pick ‘n’ mix platters for more than one diner make it almost essential. Feast on everything from prawn and salmon bonbon, turbot carpaccio and grilled baby monkfish to three way of pork, garlic spinach and truffle chips before descending to the basement bar for booze and beats. And keep an eye on their events page, as this space will also host 35mm film nights, life drawing, yoga, plus plenty of surprise DJ gigs.

EAT:
Mick’s Garage
  PARTY:
Jonas Rathsman at Phonox

Mick’s Garage is no ordinary garage. The guys behind Crate Brewery have taken over the warehouse space (previously Mick’s Mechanics), filling it instead with a coffee roaster, a kombucha bar and, a ‘shuk' BBQ from Berber & Q founders Josh Katz and Mattia Bianchi. We’re told to expect their signature maple-glazed Merguez sausage, low’n’slow lamb mechoui and chicken shawarma straight from the shack’s in-house smoker.   Now to Brixton for Swedish beat sensation, Jonas Rathsman. Fresh from remixing Disclosure’s Omen, he’s a proven international club and festival favourite, so prepare to get down to his signature mix. All. Night. Long.

EAT:

  PARTY:
Tiga at KOKO

Another opening in Netil House, this time it’s the highly anticipated joint venture of Matthew Young (ex head chef of The Wapping Project and Mayfields) and sommelier Jack Lewens (previously at The River Café and Quo Vadis). The informal, modern bistro promises high quality wines and affordable pairings matched to simple, seasonal dishes. And if you’re looking for some after-dinner drinks, Night Tales’ standalone bar, NTs is upstairs.   Third released tickets for Tiga’s debut live set in London have been released. The technical spec of the gig meant that it had to be moved from its original venue to KOKO so expect some good visuals, alongside some unreleased tracks featuring Hudson Mohawke and Boys Noize, to name a few. Get in the mood here.
