But, this native oyster season, it’s all about the classic combo: oysters and Guinness.
| | Interested? Then you’re going to want to book a beer and oyster masterclass with Guinness and the famous Wright Brothers. Banish thoughts of twee, delicate tastings – this is all about having fun, with your friends, beer in hand.
Led by Wright Brothers’ legendary oyster expert, Simon Lamont, and a Guinness beer expert from Guinness’ Open Gate Brewery in Dublin, four unique and intimate masterclasses will take place across the month of October. Held at the Wright Brothers’ restaurant in Soho, during each 90-minute class you’ll learn about the history of Guinness and oysters – via tastings of different native oysters and a variety of perfectly matched Guinness beers such as West Indies Porter and Rye Pale Ale (as well as the old classic, Guinness Draught).
The Guinness and Oyster Masterclasses will be taking place on Saturdays throughout October: 8th (6-8pm), 15th (2.30pm -4.30pm), 22nd (12pm-2pm) and 29th (12-2pm) at Wright Brothers Soho (13 Kingly Street, W1) at a cost of £40 per person.
