Quirky sushi spot
Tucked down a side street off High Street Kensington, Yashin is the definition of a hidden gem. Head to the wooden sushi bar (or book a table downstairs if you’re in a group) and watch in awe as the chefs conjure up their elaborate creations. The motto here is “without soy sauce… but if you want to” – perhaps a bit lost in translation but the lack of soy sauce is more than made up for by the elaborate garnishes and seasoning. No soy sauce, neon lights, rabbit lamps… traditional this is not.
Top Tip:
Try the Prucia plum wine – a cut above the usual Japanese fare.
