Place 2 Stay

You know the story - the best friend of your best friend's former fuckbuddy is coming to London and is it okay if they stay on your sofa because they fell out with their second cousin who lives in Chiswick. And you can't really say no because, then, well, you're the meanie.

Live in London? Expect the houseguests.

No longer. Right in time for the summer rush, Base2Stay launches the new place to dump unwanted guests, and the good news is, it's a damn site nicer than your pull out couch.

With rooms starting at 80 quid, you'd expect budget living, but the people behind the Kensington-based studios have really outdone themselves on luxuries - including pleasant décor, broadband, powershowers and flatscreen TVs, and though there's no on-site restaurant, there is Roomservice.co.uk or Deliverance for high-class takeaway.

So now there is no excuse to accept strange guests, unless, of course, they're really cute.

Base2Stay Hotel - now open
25 Courtfield Gardens, SW5 - 0845 262 8000
Singles start at £80. 10% off all rates for all bookings taken by May 31st
