The One

Everyone is searching for the one - that special something that no one else has. Yet.

From limited edition sneakers to clothing to members-only bars, it's only a matter of time before someone else gets their filthy paws on your favourite new find.

That's why we're thrilled to finally find a place where one actually means one, one-off, the one and only, just the one, etc etc. You get the gist...

Open since January and located in Notting Hill, One is a concept store that sells individually crafted objects; everything from customised cars, to retro-print wallpaper, to furniture, photography, and beautifully restored vintage clothing and accessories in a contemporary exhibition-style space.

Owned by Mick "The Man Who Shot the 70s" Rock, and the guy with possibly the coolest name in rock photography, the store is also home to Rock's iconic photographs of David Bowie circa Ziggy Stardust, as well as images of Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and the Sex Pistols to name just a few.

The important thing to remember is that each piece is unique and entirely different to the next, so elbows out... there's shopping to be done.

We’re not even pretending to be embarrassed by the current line-up of full-on 80’s revivals. Crop-top? Tickets to see MJ’s last stand? But if there’s one throwback we just can’t get enough of, it’s Pam Hogg.
