Early Bird

The UJ schedule: Wake up, check Blackberry, make coffee, smoke cigarette, dress, rush to office, read the news, write emails, make calls, write, run to meeting, drink coffee, read emails, consider lunch, panic, write, remember you haven't eaten all day, Diet Coke, Google, email, call, diary, polish, go...

Let's face it, who the hell eats before 6pm these days? Here at Urban Junkies we're increasingly finding that daily sustenance comprises a banana, canned drink, water and coffee, so we're saluting those restaurants attuned to the new lunch: early dinner, and we're not talking tacky, shove-it-down stylee pre-theatre excursions.

Posh takeaway: 20% off at Clapham's Tsunami before 7pm - reward yourself as you work.
Tsunami, 5-7 Voltaire Rd, Clapham, SW4 - 020 7978 1610

Fine dining: Aurora at the Great Eastern Hotel - Early Bird menu from 6-7pm, tablecloths and silver service without the curfews.
Aurora @ the GEH, Liverpool St, EC2 - 020 7618 5616

Post work nibbles: the all new Villandry charcuterie - snacks before supper.
Villandry Foodstore Restaurant Bar - just opened. 170 Great Portland St, W1 - 020 7631 3131

Because Size Zero's not the only reason why people aren't eating anymore.
