A boy I dated once admitted he just want to date a girl version of himself. At the time, it sounded, well, a little conceited. And also a little sad - don't settle so low, buddy.
But, to be fair, navel-gazing culture has reached epic levels, with everyone from your lawyer to postman penning a novel (read: autobiography).
But what if you are truly talentless in the writing department (and trust me, most are)?
Thankfully, there are now options. Bob Books will combine your digital photos and text into bound hardback books. You download the software, upload the text and photos and presto, a week or two later you'll receive your own coffee table book immortalising the greatness of you.

Hoping for a book-to-movie deal? Film company Ichikoo will take your old photos and home videos and edit them into a TV-quality short film. Better yet, they've teamed up with the Everyman Cinema Club in Hampstead to offer premiere screenings, complete with red carpet, champagne and paparazzi.
Maybe Whitney was right - the greatest love of all is the one you have with yourself.
