Man Tea

The man-date. That was fine. At least you could always write it off as a business dinner. Then came Bromance, which was funny, really. It's quite cute watching your guy make a new buddy.

A little less cute when he says he's going away with said buddy. To Asia. For a "spa" trip. But, hey, you guys need your time together. We get it.

Some of us girls had a creeping suspicion that soon men would realise that being an Alpha-gay (read: rich, fit, powerful) was possibly better than being an Alpha-straight (rich, fat, powerful). Our perceived worth as women hit home to me when one male friend complained his live-in girlfriend was a nag. When I reminded him just how much she did around the house, he shot back "But I can outsource that for six pounds an hour." Nice.

Now, it seems, you don't even need us for the tea run. The Mandeville Hotel recently launched their Men's Afternoon Tea and it is proving surprisingly popular. It seems all you boys really want is a sit down, a cup of Jing Darjeling and some gossip.

You still need us, you know. To breed.

Men's Afternoon Tea - £22.
