It’s impossible to imagine ‘Jaws’ without the dur-nums, or ‘Psycho’ without the ing-ing-ings. Music and the movies have always gone hand in hand. That’s why there are always soundtracks to be found in the collections of serious music fans.

Movie Grooves is an enchanting online shop “dedicated to bringing you the grooviest, jazziest, sleaziest, easiest, funkiest and scariest cult movie soundtracks” from the hey day of original scores - the 1960s and ‘70s.

From Bernard Herrmann’s classic haunting music for Scorsese’s masterpiece ‘Taxi Driver’, to John Carpenter’s terrifying soundtrack to his own film The Fog, right through to ‘Blow Up’ featuring Herbie Hancock and The Yardbirds.

The depth of catalogue is immense. Movie Groves is a treasure trove of kitsch and groovy music. Just be careful not to listen to the likes of ‘City Of The Living Dead’ on your own.
