One To Watch: Surkin

Another week. Another cool French dance act that sounds like Daft Punk only wonkier! But stop that cynicism there. Twenty year old Surkin’s sound may tread a similar path to the Ed Bangers camp, but the truth is, it’s pretty irresistible.

Raved up. Sexed up. And played by, you guessed it, Boys Noize, Erol and Tiga, his third single ‘Next Of Kin’ will be all over speakers near you this summer. Its unashamed love for ‘90s filtered house makes it a dead cert club hit.

Seek out mini album ‘Action Replay’ on Institubes and you will be rewarded with a further well made homage to early to mid-‘90s house music from this bright new producer. All thoroughly enjoyable and brilliantly forgettable at the same time.
