Jet-set Lifestyle for Hire

Once the preserve of CEOs, heads of state and inbred Eurotrash, with absolute comfort, complete courtesy, and flights whenever you want, the humble private jet is everything that Generic Air isn't. And of course it's entirely, well, private. For when you need your, you know, 'privacy'.

Money may not be able to buy happiness, but it sure can buy everything else. And that is precisely why we fancy a wee piece of the action.

Sure, if you decide at the end of a night at Zeta's new club, Whisky Mist, that the party's not done, then they'll jet you out to Ibiza for £50k, or whisk you to Monaco's Metropole with an Aston Martin and casino passes ready and waiting for £12k.

But like our beloved Classic Car Club in the air, the Private Jet Club now offers hope to we less fortunate with what is essentially a 'chartered jet pool'.

At a grand or two to Paris, and around ten to New York, it's hardly peanuts, but nor is it the £120k that you'd need to fly solo, and since it's shared, you might want to put a hold on the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. But it's a private jet baby!

  • Recession not Depression

I’ve found myself monitoring the morning stock reports with a peculiar sense of roadside accident fascination lately (“Ooh, look kids! Fiscal carnage!”). Well, you can’t lose, after all, what you don’t have. But do we really all need to roll around so relentlessly in the bleakness?

  • Espionage

I'm a stalker.  This isn't news. Anyone I've ever dated would tell you that, at some point in time, I've put my foot in it: admitting I know the name of their siblings, how their dad lost the family business, or how they have a serious online poker problem.

  • Drag 'n' Drop

It is completely beyond me that someone has yet to invent a Hangover Delivery Service. Ok, maybe not the delivery of banging headaches, nausea, and loss of memory (clearly the name needs a little work), but a one-stop Hangover Cure Provider.

  • State of Affairs

An old boyfriend of mine had a funny way of judging women. He’d peer into their handbags. “State of her purse equals state of her bush,” he’d singsong.

  • Texas Hold 'er Down

Watch out for the wily blonde with no morals. Hi. After a road-trip to Vegas, it has been universally declared by the residents of Nevada that I am no longer allowed to gamble.
