Sonar 2008 - Day Two

Three days of progressive music and multimedia arts. Simon O’Connell reports.

DAY TWO

Sonar may be in Spain but it’s as British as egg and chips & cream teas. Half the acts and punters are Brits, which is good in the case of the former, not so good somehow in the case of the latter. Why do British men have to SHOUT AT EACH OTHER?? Still on Day 2, Ninja Tune and Counter Records acts keep things bumping with J Mountain and Daedalus standing out; while in Sonar Village Konono No1 and Quiet Village kept us nodding along.
