Last Night a DJ Saved My Wardrobe Malfunction
There is no doubt that Fashion and Music like to snuggle up together like a couple of hormone-crazed teens after a bottle of cider and a fat jazz cigarette. "I lurrrve you," you can hear them purr over and over like the sound-track to a Dior Homme show.
Think I'm exaggerating? Tune into 87.7 FM today, Thursday and Friday from 12pm till midnight, or you can watch the love-in unfold on Nick Knight's SHOWstudio , as Naomi Campbell (sans boxing gloves, please God), Gareth Pugh, Giles Deacon and other legendary fashion folk spin their fave discs while chatting about, well, music and fashion. And let’s not forget the art installations, Swarovski sponsorship (check out their one-off set of pink crystal headphones lending the affair some retro disco campery) and the fact that the three day extravaganza takes place at Abbey Road Studios.
Now there's a thought. If only Paul, Ringo and co had been dressed in finest Kilgour suits rather than nasty flares while crossing the zebra crossing on their eponymous album cover. They might have even been allowed to join in.
FASHION DJs on SHOWstudio.com and 87.7FM
