Music Concierge

Boxed up, ready to go

Firstly I have to declare involvement, but this year's Lovebox festival will be the biggest and best yet. Covering 30 acres of Victoria Park, eight stages of music will be complimented by a substantial kids area, plenty of circus and cabaret, a farmers' market and cocktail bars galore.

Horse Meat Disco will be doing their outrageously good party across both Saturday 19 July and Sunday 20 July, which is once again set in a full recreation of a 1970s New York street.

Secret Sundaze meanwhile will hosting the wonderful Ame and Canada's electronic innovators Guillame and The Cotu Dumonts on Saturday, whilst Mullet It Over have Damian Lazarus and Craig Richards in tow on Sunday.

The Amnesty Firefly stage features a vibrant and eclectic range of artists from across the world including Dengue Fever, Youngblood Brass Band, The Dynamics, The Black Seeds, Rachel Unthank, Alela Diane and Think Of One. Whilst those who need a thumping bass in their lives will lap up DJ Herve, Frankie Knuckles, The Nextmen, DJ Mehdi and Stanton Warriors amongst others.

The Great Escape will bring together the hot indie acts Young Knives, The Go! Team, Mr Hudson & The Library, Lykke Li, Lightspeed Champion and White Lies. Last FM host their own stage with Padded Cell and Toddla T, as does Clash Magazine with Wiley, Operator Please and others.

The main stage is of course where the main action is. Saturday is all about Manu Chao, Groove Armada, The Human League and Ladyhawke. Sunday sees The Flaming Lips top the bill above Goldfrapp, Jack Penate, Roni Size's Reprazent, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 and Sebastien Tellier.

A feast for the senses, designed by music lovers for music lovers!
