SoCo’s Top Five Ibiza Tips
While the nightlife in Ibiza is hard to beat, there’s no need to limit your days to recovering by the hotel pool. SoCo has rounded up some of the best secret insider tips for off-the-beaten track fun - but don’t go telling anyone…

Atlantis beach Not as hard to find as the ancient lost city, this secluded beach opposite Es Vedra rock (close to Cala d'Hort beach ) is one of the most unique and beautiful on the island and well worth the trek to get there. The steep drop down to the beach is probably not one for those who haven’t slept for a few days, but the stone quarry at the end of the beach has impressive (and rumour has it, mystical) natural swimming pools – look out for the natural cave with a painted image of the God, Shiva, who is claimed to protect the cave temple.

Atzaro This converted century-old farmhouse is a típica Ibiza finca hidden away in Santa Eulalia and is a great place to relax when all the hedonism of the island becomes too much. From a cool drink in the shade of their orange grove to a day’s pampering at their luxury spa it’s a great place to recharge your batteries – or if you’re feeling flush, splash out on one of their exclusive deluxe suites and spend the rest of the holiday in the ultimate Ibizan getaway.

Casa de Huespedes If your budget’s a little tighter, you might want to check out Casa De Huespedes hidden high up the middle of Ibiza Town by Vara De Ray and at the centre of all the action close by. Each room has been restored from its 1950’s former glory, with a strong emphasis on both modern and recycled art by artists from the island. The owner’s enormous Great Dane makes for a great guard dog as well.

Studio Restaurant An easily missed restaurant nestled up high by Ibiza Port offering delicious dining set amongst Moroccan decor - ask for a table on the fairy-light lit roof terrace for the best views and the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dinner and some people watching.

Mud baths of Espalmador A short boat ride away towards Formentera is the tiny island of Espalmador and with pure white beaches and amazingly clear waters is worth the day trip alone, but check out the far north end of Platja de s’Alga and follow the narrow pathway through the scrubland that backs the beach. You’ll emerge at a wide salt plain that has warm, sulphurous mud at its centre…Ibiza’s own natural mud baths. Slap on the mud, let it dry as you walk back across the beach and wash it off in the clear sea for a totally natural - and free! – spa experience. Now you’re fresh to go and party again tonight.
SoCo Social is bringing its free unique party to Ibiza on 8th August at Kanya bar with Lottie, Alex Metric, Hot 8 Brass Band and Leatherhead. Click here for more details.
