Time, Gentlemen?

Am I the only man to miss the simple joys in life, like an understated gin and tonic or a simple glass of fine Islay Scotch??
Whether in a fine-cut suit or a more casual attire, can you see any man retaining even a hint of integrity whilst leaning against the bar and ordering a tall vodka and Pussy?
“Actually,” he croons, raising one eyebrow in homage to the genius of Connery, “Make it a brandy and Cocaine.” Fail. Instant and savage. Now, if this theoretical gent with the mild style-fracture had just held out for the recent opening of Alfred Dunhill everything would have been fine.
Whilst next month’s return of Selfridge’s formal menswear room will come as a relief to many an urban chap, and there are always those other traditional dens of gentlemanly pomposity in Mayfair, with its sports massages, cut-throat shaves, haircuts, bespoke tailors, private screening room, and charming cognac and whisky basement bar, the new Dunhill finally offers a one-stop shop for the contemporary discerning gentleman.
And no Pussy allowed.
