Trans-Atlantic Sister, As She Lives & Breathes

The economy is imploding. The summer is over. Cheap flights are dead. And the world’s about to end (and at the hands of the Swiss too: who ever saw that one coming?). But it’s not all bad.

The dollar is still more screwed than the pound, and peak season has yet to hit the flight schedules, which means that now is actually the perfect time to visit our Big Smoke’s Apple-icious little sister. And if you embark on a spot of apartment-swapping, that’ll not only ensure that your favourite yukka survives your absence, but you’ll end up with a free and (hopefully) equivalent pad from which to conquer the city.

But what to do when you get there? Like London, life in New Yoik moves faster than a well-whipped whippet. And nothing more so than the bar and restaurant scene. So, as much as we love our Wallpaper guides , by the time they’re printed and in-store, they risk being so last season (insert camp hand gesture) it hurts. Chefs leave, menus change, and cool can inexplicably evaporate. Sure we’re biased, but the answer is clearly all about online insiders.

So, NYC Restaurant Week might be over, but if a spot of food and drink is you’re thing then why bother scrounging through the internet in search of the latest guide? We’ve got the finest, off-the-beaten-track 28 food-tour imaginable.

And it’s right here.
