Mummy Dearest
Credit Crunch Christmas getting you down? Looking for an inexpensive gift for the woman who gave you life and used to wipe your bum? Have no fear - we, at UJ, have the perfect present and it won't cost you a penny: put your mum on Facebook.
No, seriously.
I set Bernice up while on family vacation to Hawaii (mostly as a eff you to my dad, who is now furiously trying to figure out how to get himself on Facebook). Not only does it give her the easiest way to stalk me (all mothers are stalkers, obsessed with their children), it also makes her feel like part of the action.
Bernice, previously computer illiterate, has quickly learned how to comment on photos, write on people's walls, and unfortunately, change her status from "open relationship" (he he) to the much more truthful, married. She's also made friend with Urban Junkies and will likely write something damning on it today in retaliation for this article.
