Sing For Your Supper

I think it's the fact that Grace Jones apparently has no mirrors in her house - on the grounds that they freak her out, obviously - that most enamours me to her. That and Slave to the Rhythm. Naturally, therefore, I love that she's headline at this year's Sónar. And with MJ and his gargantuan new jawline also back on the scene after an honest quid (or hundred million), 'tis the season for old-timers to make a comeback.
Nowhere is seeing the trend more than gay Paris. The quintagenarian Barbie is going out on a (plastic but perfectly-formed) limb at Colette to actually, you know, earn her keep. And whilst we all thought Dita Von Teese was just a pro press wh*re, it seems she's actually having to strip sing for her supper too.
Following on from February's impressive sell-out show, she's back at Paris' Crazy Horse with another two-week tassel-twirling, nipple-tastic instalment. Which is handy given the sadly ailing health of the older, traditional burlesque haunts .
And with the Parisian Concorde hotels offering a Warhol-tastic deal in time for the huge exhibition at the Grand Palais, now might be the perfect time for that cheeky Easter weekend away, chez gay Paris.
Dita Von Teese is at Crazy Horse, March 16-27 (but not the 21st)
Crazy Horse, 12, avenue George V, Paris
Timeless Warhol and the Concorde offer begins March 18
