Stuck in Miami this weekend with nothing much planned? Then you’d be an absolute fool to miss out on the annual Winter Music Conference, pulling in some of the world’s top DJs and hosting a veritable avalanche of killer nights.

And, to help you work out where to hit first (or where to wish you were most, if you’re still over here), Mixmag are on hand with their rundown of the top 5 parties for this year’s WMC:

WMC 2009 – March 24-28, Miami Beach, Florida

1

March 27

Ciroc and Mixmag Present The Main Event 2 (at Cameo, 1445 Washington Avenue).

Bad Boy music and style icon, P Diddy, takes on electro overlord Felix Da Housecat, with more amazing guests to be announced. On Friday night, where are you going to be heading? We're saying Main Event 2 will be even better than last year.

2

March 25

Ovum (at Shine, Shelbourne Beach Resort) with Josh Wink and friends.

If there's one thing we know, it's that Josh Wink doesn't do things by halves: expect him to be joined by some of his top Ovum brethren all night long.

2

March 28

Erick Morillo (at Liv, Fontainebleau Miami Beach).

If the antics from the night before at Space haven't worn you out, here comes Round Two with the biggest house DJ in Miami. And for the uninitiated, Liv is the latest shiny, disco space to emerge downtown.

2

March 26

Luciano and Loco Dice with special guest Dennis Ferrer, Shine @ Shelbourne Beach Resort.

DJ Simi and Dennis F provide back-up for two of the most versatile techno DJs on the planet.

2

March 28

Ultra Music Festival Bicentennial Park with guests The Prodigy, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Moby and many more.

If you want to see all your dance music heroes in one outdoor arena, overlooked by the stars, then look no further.
