Dum duh-duh dah-dum…
Woke up this morning, my baby was gone
Woke up this morning, my baby was gone
And she’d taken my money, and run off with my best friend’s son.
Now, you can call me a pessimist if it makes it any easier, but let’s face it: the world is pretty f*cked right now. And all the new-retro ‘80s cheery-pop in the world isn’t going to stop the fact that we’re in a financially-sodomized country run by two-faced thieves and charlatans.
But I wouldn’t call us doomed by any stretch. I just think it could be good to face up to the fact a bit more. Put down that La Roux single you’re still clutching with feverish optimism and get in touch with your hidden musical grump.
Dum duh-duh dah-dum…

The new Charlotte Street Blues Bar is now open, playing live blues seven days a week
