The Sky’s The Limit
All this summer sunshine just cries out for rooftop entertainment. Like a school-kid crush, we’re still stuck on Shoreditch House – especially with the sexy new crowd-controlling rooftop extension. But is there any alternative to the eternal terrace du jour?
The latest contender for our hearts is Eight Moorgate, a rooftop club set to open on Monday with floor to ceiling windows leading out onto spacious terraces. It’s reached by a glass elevator, allowing 360 degree views of the city and alfresco drinking and dining galore.
And just to tug on our heart (and purse) strings some more, there’s also an on-site Savile Row tailor, shoemaker and jeweler, while Chef Richard Lyndon (who has sautéed with the likes of Bill Granger) presides over the restaurant, and the sixth floor hosts the bar, lounge, library and cigar room for whisky tastings and live jazz.
And being Eight Bank EC3’s sister venue means you get to enjoy two clubs for the price of one membership – how very recession friendly.
So look out ShoHo, pool or no pool, your number might just be up.
