Pizza Party
Soho House's Pizza East Launches This Friday.

So I’m not technically Italian (a good percentage of me actually hails from the land of the Frankfurter and the Hoff Appreciation Society – lucky me). But by the amount of cash I’ve pumped into The Hut, Pizza Express, various Zizis and Asks, I bloody well should be.
Or perhaps it’s precisely because of this uninventive choice in Italian food chains that I have yet to receive my honorary citizenship?
So I’m switching it up a gear with Soho House’s new eatery, Pizza East . Expanding the Shoreditch House mansion into the ever-reinventive Tea Building on the other corner, expect to see those legendary Sh-House ten-inch pizzas (the saviour of many an impromptu night’s drinking) covered in the likes of duck sausage with shaved artichokes, boschetto al tartufo and parmesan, before finishing up with a little something sweet like the salted chocolate caramel tart.
Choose to dine at the Pizza Bar for a prime view of all that glorious, bubbling cheese as it gets pulled tenderly out of wood-burning ovens, enjoy the resident DJ in the sympathetically industrial-designed environs, and walk away with a little store-cupboard something from the (ha! finally!) take-away counter.
Now, how do I get hold of Silvio Berlusconi? I hear he might be a leg man…
